Revision of histological preparations

To reduce the risk of error in the histological report, a "second opinion" or review of histological slides in another laboratory is available. The patient collects the histological slides and paraffin blocks from the laboratory that performed the initial analysis and sends them to our laboratory for review. When contacting the State Clinical Hospital, review of the histological slides takes 1 to 10 business days from the date of delivery, depending on the complexity of the case and any additional testing. The patient will receive the results by email on the day the report is ready, and the original report, histological slides, and paraffin blocks can be obtained in person.

A package of documents for review of histological preparations:

  1. A copy of the histological report from the institution where the primary study was conducted.
  2. Patient passport.
  3. Copies of medical documents (extracts, protocols of manipulations or operations, clinical data) related to the material being studied.
  4. Histological preparations and paraffin blocks with numbers corresponding to the copy of the primary histological report.
